Hello, my name is Austen Poertner. I grew up in a small rural community in Kansas. I graduated from Emporia State University. Running a business is something that has always appealed to me. After considering several different business ideas, I decided to go with farmhouse decor. I grew up in a farmhouse that my great-grandparents had built. I have always liked old lanterns, signs, roosters, windmills and the list could go on and on. I decided to take a step and start a business selling good quality products that others will enjoy. When coming up with a name for my business I knew that Farmhouse had to be part of the name. I added Boutique when my mom said she would help with women's clothing.
